Everyone you have invited to view or edit your trips. Remove someone to end their access right away. That also changes the trip's key, so they cannot read anything you edit afterward.

Use Travel Keeper on your phone and computer, kept in step automatically. Your trips are encrypted on your device before they leave, with a key only you hold. Not even we can read your trips.
Off by default. Your family's names, birth years, and loyalty numbers stay on this device unless you turn this on. When you do, they're encrypted here first, just like your trips. Turning it off again removes every synced copy.
Your recovery phrase is 12 words that unlock your synced trips on a new phone or after a reinstall. It's the only way back in, and only you hold the key. Save it somewhere safe; we can't recover it for you.

Are you setting up sync for the first time, or connecting this device to trips you already sync from another device?
Connecting a phone and a laptop? Choose "I already have a recovery phrase" and enter the same 12 words on both, so they stay in step. "This is my first device" creates a new key that won't see trips you sync elsewhere.
These 12 words are the only way to unlock your synced trips on a new device. Copy them, download them, or write them down, and keep them somewhere safe.

We can't see or recover these words for you. That's the point: only you hold the key.

Invite someone by email. We'll send them an invitation with everything they need. The trip appears when they sign in with that email in the free Travel Keeper app. Everything stays encrypted with keys only the people on this trip hold.

If you'd rather not enter real names, use nicknames or initials. The tool still works fine.
Don't lose your data. On the iPhone app, everything here is backed up to your own iCloud automatically, and you can turn that on or off anytime. On the web, clearing your browser data erases it, so download a backup file now and then. Both live under the "Back up your data" link →
